1. Scope and roles
This policy applies to Briskly websites, applications, hosted job and application pages, communications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). It does not apply to a customer’s own websites or practices, or to third-party services that have their own privacy policies.
For information submitted by or for a Briskly customer, such as candidate applications, resumes, interview notes, and recruiting communications, Briskly generally processes the information on the customer’s behalf. The customer controls its recruiting process and is responsible for its notices, lawful basis, and employment decisions. For information about our own website visitors, prospects, account users, and business operations, Briskly generally determines why and how the information is processed.
2. Information we collect
Contact and account information
Names, email addresses, phone numbers, employer or organization, job title, account credentials, office membership, preferences, and support communications.
Candidate and application information
Contact details, resumes and attachments, work and education history, skills, application and screening-question answers, source and attribution data, interview availability, notes, evaluations, pipeline stage, offer or hiring status, and communications with recruiting teams.
Recruiting and job information
Job postings, application forms, qualification criteria, distribution settings, advertising and source information, candidate activity, and hiring-performance information.
Communications and integrations
Email, text-message, call, calendar, and job-board activity handled through the Services, plus data received from integrations authorized by a customer or user.
Usage, device, and diagnostics information
IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages and features used, referring URLs, timestamps, cookie or similar identifiers, application events, error reports, and performance data.
Commercial information
Subscription, transaction, and billing-administration details. Payment card information, when required, is processed by our payment provider rather than stored in full by Briskly.
3. Sources of information
We receive information directly from you; from Briskly customers and their authorized users; from candidates and job applicants; from job boards, advertising partners, communications providers, and integrations; automatically from browsers and devices; and from service providers that help us operate the Services.
4. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, secure, support, and improve the Services.
- Create and administer accounts, customer workspaces, job pages, applications, candidate records, recruiting workflows, and communications.
- Process job-ad distribution, attribution, recruiting analytics, and customer-requested integrations.
- Personalize features and generate recruiter-facing assistance, summaries, and recommendations.
- Communicate about accounts, applications, transactions, service updates, support requests, security, and, where permitted, Briskly products.
- Monitor reliability, diagnose errors, prevent fraud or misuse, enforce agreements, and protect rights and safety.
- Comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Create aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual.
5. Artificial intelligence
Some Services use artificial-intelligence providers to help parse resumes, structure application information, summarize candidate materials, assist with job-posting reviews, and generate candidate-fit evidence or other recruiter-facing suggestions. Relevant content may be sent to those providers to produce the requested result.
AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are intended to assist authorized users and do not independently make final recruiting, rejection, interview, offer, or hiring decisions. Customers and their users remain responsible for reviewing outputs and making employment decisions in accordance with applicable law.
6. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to the Briskly customer connected to an application or account; authorized users within that customer’s workspace; hosting, storage, security, analytics, customer-support, communications, payment, AI, document-processing, and other vendors working for us; job boards, advertising partners, and integrations selected by a customer; professional advisers and auditors; and authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety.
We may also disclose information as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or transfer of some or all of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections. Briskly does not sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described here, follow customer instructions, meet contractual or legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention depends on the information’s nature, sensitivity, purpose, and applicable requirements. Customers control retention of candidate information in their workspaces, subject to our agreement and legal obligations.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their credentials and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; or to appeal a denied request. You may also opt out of non-essential marketing emails by using the unsubscribe option in those messages.
If your information was submitted to a prospective employer or another Briskly customer, contact that organization first because it controls the recruiting record. We will assist customers with verified requests as required. For information Briskly controls, email support@brisklyhq.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
11. International transfers
Briskly and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
12. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 through the Services. If you believe a child provided information to us inappropriately, contact us.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the Services, our practices, or applicable requirements. We will post the updated policy here, revise the date above, and provide additional notice when required.
