Swooped is looking for an experienced in-house recruiter, talent sourcer, or talent acquisition professional to participate in a short-term product research project.
We are researching how recruiters evaluate resumes, cover letters, and application answers, particularly as AI-assisted applications become more common. Your feedback will help us design tools that produce more useful, accurate, and recruiter-friendly candidate materials.
What You’ll Help Us Understand

- Which resume changes improve relevance and which appear excessive or unnatural.
- How recruiters evaluate cover letters and written application answers.
- Which application questions commonly cause candidates to be rejected.
- How candidate materials are parsed and presented inside major ATS platforms.
- How recruiters use filtering, knockout questions, application-review criteria, candidate ranking, fraud signals, and AI-assisted screening.
- What recruiters consider acceptable and unacceptable uses of AI in an application.
- How candidate-facing tools can produce more credible and useful applications.
Responsibilities
- Participate in two or three remote research sessions.
- Review sample resumes, cover letters, and application answers.
- Compare alternative versions of candidate materials.
- Explain how you typically review and prioritize inbound applicants.
- Provide feedback on proposed product concepts and improvements.
- Describe how application-review workflows operate inside the ATS platforms you have used.
Ideal Experience
- Currently working, or recently worked, as an in-house recruiter, sourcer, or talent acquisition professional.
- At least two years of recruiting or sourcing experience.
- Regularly reviewed inbound job applications.
- Used Greenhouse, Workday, Ashby, or Lever from the recruiter side.
- Familiarity with application screening, knockout questions, auto-rejection rules, resume parsing, candidate scoring, AI-assisted review, or fraud signals is helpful.
- Comfortable providing direct and practical product feedback.
Agency recruiters may be considered, but recent in-house recruiting experience is strongly preferred.
